Completeness of COLLADA spec. support in Blender 2.5

Blender 2.5 currently supports only a subset of COLLADA. It has both importer and exporter which are at the same level of spec. support.

Here's the list of supported data:

  • geometric meshes: triangles, polylists and polygons
  • materials: basic parameters like color, shininess, etc., (no advanced shader support)
  • textures, multiple UV-sets
  • skin controller, joint hierarchies forming skeletons
  • animations, joint animations
  • lamps and cameras
