list of pictures you have already catalogued

Hi Mikahl,

since I've changed the template Image/Gallery, if you want to see the images you have already catalogued just look at the Categories and choose one starting with UI/...

NLA Editor Screenshots

Hi Mikahl,

Just a few notes on what you've got here:

  • before you make new screenshots, I'd recommend that you start with clean defaults, as there are some new theme colours for NLA that don't get ported over yet (Plus, the old colours really look quite terrible with the new system)
  • for repeating strips, there's the repeat option. That buttons panel is really actually scrollable (though that's not obvious). I could add scrollers there, but many other buttons panels don't have them yet either :/

Ok. Updated images.

Hehe yeah, repeat I guess is a more obvious choice. Can't get repeat to do anything, but I'm assuming its just not there yet. I'll continue on with a run-down of each category of the strip properties ( as best I can ).

Fantastic!

Thank you for this. I love the name Track and will suggest using that term for the VSE.

Please add naming of strips, so when we get to Meta we know how to name/rename them. A panel like the the VSE strip name/control panel for naming and moving, and start/end offset setting? Consistent UI would help. --Roger/PapaSmurf 13:59, 11 November 2009 (UTC)

adding context and subcontext categories to images

Hey Mikahl, have a look at User:Mindrones/UI/ButtonsWindow/Panels As we know we are able to find categorized images in desired places in blender ui thanks to your work :)

The only thing I forgot this summer is we need to add a Category:Context (Render, Materials, etc) and a Category:Subcontext (like, under Materials, --> Light, etc). In the upcoming automatic reference I'll make use of this so we'll have that for 2.5.

Also, a Category:Blender 2.4x in images would help.

We can safely assume that if an image hasn't been added to Category:Context or Blender2.5 then it is 2.4x I guess so no need to do that work, or if you have some spare time would be useful to have this for old images too, it's up to you :)

Thanks, Luca --mindrones 13:03, 11 January 2010 (UTC)

Hi there, here you have a proposal for categories to add:

  • UI/Context/Logic
  • UI/Context/Script
  • UI/Context/Shading/Lamps
  • UI/Context/Shading/Material
  • UI/Context/Shading/Texture
  • UI/Context/Shading/Radiosity
  • UI/Context/Shading/World
  • UI/Context/Object/Object
  • UI/Context/Object/Physics
  • UI/Context/Object/Particles
  • UI/Context/Editing
  • UI/Context/Render/Render
  • UI/Context/Render/Sequencer
  • UI/Context/Render/Playback
  • UI/Context/Render/Sound

so no distinction between context and subcontexts, just subcontexts (Object and Render subcontexts are under Object and Render contexts anyway and the other contexts have no subcontexts so no mismatches are possible).

This is for 2.4. For 2.5 we can discuss on irc what's better to do.

Let me know if this makes sense for you, or just go ahead :)

Thx a lot for doing such a boring job! Luca --mindrones 14:52, 18 January 2010 (UTC)
