Advanced Transform Tools
These tools use the same principles as basic ones (grab/move, scale and rotate), but their effects are more complex… and they are generally less used! Note that all the “transform precision/snap” keys (Ctrl and/or ⇧ Shift) work also for all these advanced operations… However, most of them do not have axis locking possibilities, and some of them do not take into account pivot point and/or transform orientation either.
Note that there are a few more transform tools, only available in Edit mode for some object types, that are described in relevant pages of the modeling chapter.
