Blender QuickStart Guide (proposal)

The official blender QuickStart guide is outdated and has some mistakes. This led me to assemble a new draft for an up-to-date quickstart. In contrast to the official one it spans two a4 pages and it covers less material but more in-depth. The graphics are made from scratch focusing on clear keyboard reference but broken up in sections so that it's not overwhelming for the newbie. It was designed to be used as training material during some blender courses in my University and was also used in the TOSMI training.

It covers:

  • The Blender Interface
  • Basic 3D view navigation
  • Selection Methods
  • Buttons Window
  • Object/Edit Mode
  • Basic Transformations (Grab,Rotate,Scale)
  • Basic Modelling
  • Constraints (lock axis, snaps)
  • Layers
  • File Open/Save

PDF Format • ~2.5 Mb

Any suggestions are welcome
