[edit] Introduction

Armature Symmetry

  • First, select an Armature.
  • Then from the Scripts Menu Animation.
  • Select Armature Symmetry.
  • The Menu will appear.
  • In the options choose how to make symmetrical the Armature.
  • Thus can be very useful.
  • Lets look at the interface.

Interface/Menu Overview

  • Features: Sliders, Numeric Input, Buttons.
  • Left>Right Copy the Right To Left of the Mesh.
  • Right/Left Copy the Left to th Right of the mesh.
  • Enable Both for a mid loc.
  • MaxDist Maximum difference in mirror bones to match up pairs.
  • XZero Limit Tolerance for locking bones into the middle. (X/zero).
  • XMidSnap Bones Snap middle verts to X Zero (uses XZero limit).
  • Selected Only Only X Mirror selected Bones.
