[edit] Splitting This Section to Smaller Parts

Would it be alright to split this part in three separate parts accordingly:

  • Mesh Primitives (Basic Mesh Objects)
  • Mesh Structures
  • Mesh Smoothing

The selection related information could be merged with Selecting Meshes. "Basic Editing" could be merged with "Basic Mesh Tools". The rest could remain here till a proper place is found for them. Basically I would like that the articles would be more atomic containing only information related to given article topic. Any comments?

Sure it would be alright; i was just looking at the whole primitives thing; many have options now, like cylinder to cap ends and such. The primitives will be greatly expanded with 2.44. --Roger 01:43, 31 May 2007 (CEST)

I created aforementioned three pages and merged selection related information with Selecting Meshes. I did not move "Basic Editing" yet as I think we need to review mesh tools as it seemed to contain plenty of "tutorial-like" information as you mentioned Advanced Mesh Tools. Basically I would like to move the tutorials to Tutorials section of the wiki (there could be references to tutorials in the text) and write brief description of each tool.

The whole edit mode concept shown in this article is more general subject so I think it might be adjusted to fit Interaction in 3D part of the manual.

After those issues mentioned are handled, this article could be removed.
