[edit] Notes

Platform maintainers:

- Windows: Nathan L, Andrea W - Linux: Ken H (64 bits), Diego B, ... (arne, rui and shaul volunteered in past...) - OSX: Jean Luc (ppc), ... (intel) - FreeBSD: Hans L - Sun Solaris: Kent M

Todos for 2.46:

- make chroot available for building linux version - OpenMP in linux seems to to not run with new glibc, platform maintainers look at it - some linux distros save blender with a .blender/ dir read-only - FFMPG windows... unresolved, needs more test - OpenMP windows: seems to need official MSVC pro license. Not a 2.46 target - FFMPG gets two more codecs, making release a couple of MB larger (sob! :)

[edit] Panel Problems

Email from lguillaume:

Hello, now with the addition of the cloth panel on physics tab on a normal screen at 1152x864 the fluid panel is not shown.

Can you make all softbody panel tabbed like the cloth is, if beginners try to search the fluid panel, they can't found it. Thanks.

He had a patch attached to his email

There's still some problems with our panels, it seems. There was also the problem with the sculpt panel really messing up, did anyone ever fix that?

[edit] 2.46 builds with OpenMP

It appears that to build with OpenMP and gcc 4.2, we need to build against glib 2.7. Do we really want to jump from glibc 2.3.6 to 2.7?
