[edit] 2.46
Before 2.46 release the following issues remain to be addressed
- pointcache working well - brecht is working on this and making good progress
- old particles working for all cases - brecht will work on this after the pointcache work is complete
- uv editing work finished
- ffmpeg working on all platforms
- sky patch
- python particle api so that renderer exporters can maintain their functionality - there is a patch and pidhash is working on it
- sound api - at this point it looks like it might have to wait for 2.50 due to this point in the release cycle and it being such a large change
- BUGS - as always it would be prefereable to reduce the bug count in the tracker to under 50 prior to doing a release - so please look at your bugs :) Or if you don't have any assigned to you please help someone else out with their bugs :)
- in order to avoid confusion instead of rc (release candidate) please name the builds - test builds.
[edit] New Object Orientations have issues
b.blend will be updated so that new users will have the new object oriented new way by default, older users will use the old method.
[edit] GSoC
applications are due tomorrow - a note - in the past number of applicants accepted was proportional to number of proposals - so it is worth applying even if you think your odds of being picked are not very good
