[edit] Feature Requests
This is a list of features that educators would find useful for teaching Blender.
FEATURE DESCRIPTION STATUS/NOTES Recordable Event History
- A means of recording the events in the creation of a .blend file. This would allow for self-packaged tutorial .blends that work directly within Blender. Users could 'playback' the event history and watch the creation of what ever is in the blend file or they could manually step through the history to relevant points.
Waiting for Event system refactor Verse Server Controls
- Not really a "Blender feature" per sé (but if some of the controls could be managed from within Blender, that might be nice), but the desired goal is to use Verse to allow students in a classroom environment to follow along as a teacher/trainer works an example in Blender. Of particular interest would be 'view-only' clients (so students cannot disrupt) and simple user management (to, for example, allow a student temporary write access to the Verse server to ask a question or solve a problem - similar to going up to the blackboard and solving a math problem in front of the class).
Need to talk with Verse team
