--Ryz 10:06, 23 February 2006 (CET) This part could be restructured. The chapter numbering doesn't make sense. Though this chapter should be called The Vital Functions, it is merely a title.
Better might be:
The Vital Functions
1 File functions
1.1 Opening files
1.2 Saving files
1.3 Appending files (Pretty important function, gets asked far too many times in user forums)
2 Rendering functions
3 User Preferences
etc.
[edit] Autosave done
Expanded the autosave tab help info for the newbies. Dont think I left anything out.
[edit] I agree with moving User Prefs
The User preferences section is more like initial setup and might be better to be placed just after "Installing the Binaries" as another section and necessary step to be taken just after install, just as it is to set up a user directory structure. Then, it is forgotten (except we would need a section somewhere that covers "goofs" and how to recover, mentioning the Open Recent button as an option. I dont have the guts to move it though...as I am a newbie MediaWiki guy...
