I strongly recommend changing the phrasing in the description of Texture Channels. The current version refers to the texture channels as layering from Bottom to Top (as does the accompanying graphic) with the figurative bottom at the literal top and the figurative top at the literal bottom. This seems needlessly confusing, especially when the author could just as easily use First to Last instead, which makes no spatial implication, and thus avoids all potential ambiguity.
This is precisely the sort of thing we should be on the lookout for as document writers. Any ambiguity or source of confusion, no matter how small or insignificant, will make the documentation less useful and more troubling for new users, who will instead turn to forums to answer their questions. If at all possible, this manual should be attractive as the primary and authoritative source of information on using Blender. Spectre-7 08:49, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
