I though parenting was a bit more complex than as expressed on this page. For example, there is parenting to a bone, parenting to an armature and parenting with 'keep offset' (offset bone) (ref).
- There should be somewhere in the manual that lists all of these and it seems to me that this is the place. All the different kinds of parenting need to be discussed somewhere in the manual, though the list could just have a link if the discussion is somewhere else.
- Also the discussion of the offset bone should link to the discussion of the stride bone as there, or seem to me to be, two different ways of achieving a walk cycle. I have added some discussion under Talk:Manual/Non Linear Animation.
- There is also the child-of constraint; the discussion of parenting should link to this. M.e 07:47, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
