[edit] The Viewing Direction
In Blender 3.7a (Win dynamic), it is just not the case that holding the middle mouse button and moving the mouse horizontally does the same thing as NUM4/NUM6. The former rotation is display-oriented, the latter is object- or world-oriented. Don't know if this is desired or not, version-specific or not, etc, being only a very very new user. --jholman 02:01, 12 November 2005 (CET)
Addendum: As Kal-Torak helped me figure out in IRC, what Num4/Num6 do is the same thing as what Ctrl-Alt-MW does. I/we still don't know if this is a bug in Blender, or an error in the documentation. --jholman 02:33, 12 November 2005 (CET)
[edit] The viewing direction (rotating)
I think that it would be better if there was a picture of hand with the axis drawn on it so that the reader would understand the concept better. Figuring out how to navigate in 3D space is one of the hardest things for a beginner so therefore I hope someone could add that tiny yet important picture there to support the text. :) BeBraw 17:55, 16 January 2006 (GMT)
